This project stemmed from a current lack of any aquatic resource restoration plan for the Gallatin Watershed. Because of this lack of any planning document, the Greater Gallatin Watershed Council requested the development of a prioritized list of potential stream corridor restoration projects. This project identification, characterization, and ranking provides a tool for the acquisition of additional resources for project feasibility assessments, design, and implementation. The plan also provides GGWC with a means of intermittently (e.g. annually) re-evaluating its priorities and achievements and updating the prioritizations accordingly.
