DTM personnel developed a comprehensive GIS for the Golden Sunlight Mine (Placer Dome) located in southwest Montana.  Due to low gold prices in the 1990s, Golden Sunlight Mine did not convert existing or historic information into modern digital formats utilizing GIS and databases.  As gold prices rebounded, DTM was contracted to convert and compile historic hard copy maps, CAD files of underground surface operations, spread sheets with blast hole, diamond drill, and rotary drill assays, geophysical and geochemical data in various formats, and numerous geologic maps into a comprehensive GIS.
